Zhu Wenqing was born in 1983 in Handan, Hebei province. In 1998 he started learning shaolinquan and sanda. In 2000 started learning yiquan with master Yao Chengguang. For 8 years he was master Yao's assistant at Zongxun Wuguan yiquan school in Beijing. He received victory in experimental yiquan tui shou tournament in 2002.

In years 2008-2010 he additionally trained MMA, successfuly participating in tournaments.

Because of his fierce actions linked with swift footwork people started calling him Yiquan Tornado.
